Coffs Coast Nutrition is the local area’s most trusted nutrition and dietetics practice. Our team provides individualized nutrition, exercise and wellness advice in a supportive, caring and non-judgmental environment - in person and via telehealth (your choice of phone or Zoom / video). Our holistic approach is designed to help you achieve the best possible result. We also offer a greater range of appointment days and times than other nutrition practices in the Coffs Harbour area.

Coffs Coast Nutrition is a small local business. We don't employ physiotherapists, massage therapists or occupational therapists, however we are happy to work alongside other allied health professionals or refer you to the appropriate person. The fact that we are a small business is an advantage. It means that you will receive more personalized attention than if you were to attend a bigger clinic that employs a large number of staff. Our dietitians and personal trainer are also highly qualified and experienced.  

Coffs Coast Nutrition owns an AlterG anti-gravity treadmill which uses state of the art NASA technology to reduce loading during walking and running. This technology is generally only available in major cities (Coffs Coast Nutrition has the only anti-gravity treadmill between Coffs Harbour and the QLD border). The AlterG treadmill is NOT your typical treadmill. It uses differential air pressure to enable pain-free walking or running at 20-100% body weight. This equipment is utilized by people who would otherwise find exercise too painful, however it is also used to enhance sporting performance by top athletes. For more information: click on the 'AlterG' tab (at the top of our home page) and watch the short videos.

Our Nutritionists / Dietitians have appointments available during week days. We also have some weekend and after hours appointments.  In view of COVID-19 our Nutritionists / Dietitians also offer phone / remote video / Zoom consultations. These are very popular due to the convenience (you don't need to leave home or work to have a consult).

Our PT offers one-on-one sessions (by appointment) 7 days per week. You do not need to see our Nutritionists / Dietitians to attend PT sessions (although there are benefits to combining both nutrition and exercise). Outdoor training sessions are available, and depending on COVID-19 restrictions, there is the option of using our private studio gym in a COVID-safe environment where it will be just you and our trainer. 

We have implemented strict hygiene standards with both staff and clients. Please read the sign on our door before entering and follow all instructions. If you or a family member are unwell you MUST reschedule your appointment. Alternatively we can arrange a phone or Zoom consultation at the same day and time so that you can have your consultation from the comfort of your home. 

You MUST have your mask fitted correctly prior to entering our premises. This means that it should cover both your mouth and nose.

Louise is available for telehealth consultations Australia-wide (your choice of either phone or Zoom). She also sees people at our clinic for in-person / face-to-face consults.

She is highly qualified and experienced and is well known for always treating people with compassion and empathy. 

Unlike other dietitians in Coffs Harbour, Louise has both personal and professional experience with the low FODMAP diet, RPAH Elimination Diet / Failsafe Diet and gluten-free eating. She us also a professional member of Coeliac Australia. 

IRRITABLE BOWEL SYNDROME (IBS), functional gut disorders, bacterial overgrowth, gastric motility issues and endometriosis are specialties, with many clients achieving life-changing results.

Lots of nutritionists and dietitians provide advice re IBS, however this is a specialised area, so if you want the best possible results it is important to see someone who specialises in this area and has BOTH professional and personal experience in gastrointestinal conditions. 

Louise is the most experienced and qualified IBS and FODMAP dietary specialist on the Coffs Coast. She has completed several courses through Monash University regarding the treatment and diagnosis of IBS, as well as implementation of the low FODMAP diet and has also attended numerous other IBS courses and seminars which enables her to provide the most up-to-date information. Her consultations are longer and more in-depth than other dietitians in the Coffs Harbour area as she understands the importance of listening to what people have to say, rather than simply providing generic informationThere is so much more to IBS and gut issues than simply completing a course!

Louise has extensive experience with the RPAH elimination diet and can also discuss other medical conditions that you may not be aware of which sometimes mimic IBS and need to be ruled out. 

Other interests include anti-inflammatory nutrition, the gut microbiome and the link between dysbiosis and mood disorders (anxiety and depression), autoimmune disorders, arthritis, IBS, inflammatory bowel conditions, chronic fatigue, weight management, diabetes, heart disease, sporting performance etc. If you are interested in gut health, we can refer you for microbiome testing.  

Louise has a strong interest in weight management and has motivated countless people to lose weight and keep it off. Her research into weight loss and fad diets was published in a scientific journal and received widespread media exposure. Louise has supported people who have undergone BARIATRIC SURGERY for over 16 yearsto ensure that they achieve the best possible outcome from their surgery.

Louise is the only ACCREDITED SPORTS DIETITIAN on the Coffs Coast. She has also completed the Level 1 Triathlon Coaching Course and Level 2 Coaching Principles through the NSW Academy of Sport, in addition to her personal training qualifications. She has undergone additional training through Monash University involving exercise-induced gastrointestinal syndrome in athletes.  

Louise has had the privilege of providing sports nutrition advice to athletes around Australia, from a variety of different sports. Prior to injuring her back Louise competed in triathlons, in events ranging from sprint (500m swim, 20k bike, 5k run) to Ironman (3.8k swim, 180k bike, 42.2k run). An in-depth knowledge of sports nutrition played a big part in her numerous wins and placings during her time in the sport.  

Louise enjoys the relaxed lifestyle that comes with living on the beautiful Coffs Coast, and although no longer able to compete in triathlons due to injury, she keeps fit by cross training with her husband Col, and running on Coffs Coast Nutrition's AlterG anti-gravity treadmill. She also loves to go for leisurely walks along the beach.

Dylan's interests include nutrition for chronic disease management (pre-diabetes, diabetes, metabolic syndrome, high cholesterol / heart health, renal problems etc), cancer nutrition, inflammatory bowel diseases and weight management (both overweight and underweight).  

Dylan enjoys utilising recipe modification as a means to help people meet their goals in a practical and sustainable way. He has extensive experience in the food service industry and has always loved to cook. This makes him the perfect person to design our meal plans.  

Dylan has been involved in both solo and team sports since he was five. He has also coached athletes in track sprinting and field events. This sporting background led to a keen interest in sports nutrition.    

Outside of work (dependent on COVID-19 restrictions) Dylan can often be found out with friends or training at the gym. He enjoys lazing around with a book or game and loves cooking for friends and family, trying new foods and going for long walks by the beach while listening to podcasts.

Emily is passionate about paediatrics and acute clinical / hospital dietetics. She finds it rewarding working with children and seeing the impact that nutrition has on improving their growth and development. She is available for consultations with our paediatric clients some Mondays or Fridays.

Emily sees inpatients at Baringa Private Hospital on Thursday or Friday each week. She loves the fast paced hospital environment and the reward that comes with seeing the impact her care has on acutely unwell patients. Emily particularly enjoys enteral feeding, working with patients who are malnourished, post surgical nutrition and acute gastrointestinal disease.

Her hobbies outside work include spending time outdoors and going for long morning beach walks, surfing, bike riding and exploring new areas in the region such as rainforests, waterfalls and hiking spots.

Emily loves keeping active and tries to include it as part of her daily routine through HIIT classes, running and triathlon training. She is also a bit of a foodie and loves baking, cooking, being creative with recipes in the kitchen and exploring all the cafes and restaurants around home.

Col is a Personal Trainer and Gym Instructor with Cert 111 and 1V in Fitness. He has also completed the Level 1 Triathlon Coaching Course.

Col has completed The Biomechanics Method Corrective Exercise Trainer certification course which is regarded as the premier step-by-step corrective exercise education program for personal trainers. This course is designed to teach personal trainers how to effectively work with people who have musculoskeletal imbalances and associated muscle and joint pain. This revolutionary approach to musculoskeletal pain relief incorporates structural assessments, corrective exercise techniques and life coaching strategies into a system that makes improved function and pain-free living a reality for people plagued by poor musculoskeletal health. The course is recognized and accredited internationally by the world's largest and most respected fitness organisations. Col will also liaise with your current medical practitioner, physiotherapist and/or exercise physiologist to ensure that you achieve the best possible outcome.

Angie does a great job of keeping the office running smoothly. She will be the friendly voice at the other end of the line when you ring Coffs Coast Nutrition. 

Angie previously worked at a medical centre on the Coffs Coast and in administration for a family business.

She enjoys spending time with her young family at the beaches and creeks around the beautiful Coffs Coast. When not out and about Angie can be found making delicious treats for family and friends.
