We offer a greater range of appointment days & times than other nutrition & dietetics practices in Coffs Harbour. Our team provides individualized nutrition, exercise & wellness advice in a supportive, caring & non-judgemental environment (in person & via phone & email). Our personal trainers offer one-on-one & small group exercise sessions in the privacy of our studio gym (or outdoors, if preferred). Sessions are effective & fun, & we guarantee that you won't feel intimidated.

Coffs Coast Nutrition is the owner of an AlterG anti-gravity treadmill which uses state of the art NASA technology to reduce loading during walking & running. This technology is generally only available in major cities (Coffs Coast Nutrition has the only anti-gravity treadmill between Coffs Harbour & the QLD border). The AlterG treadmill is NOT your typical treadmill. It uses differential air pressure to enable pain-free walking or running at 20-100% body weight. Our personal trainers are available by appointment: 7 days per week. You do not need to see our Nutritionists to attend personal training sessions (although there are benefits to combining both nutrition & exercise).

Louise is the area's most experienced and qualified private practice dietitian. She is well known for always treating people with compassion & empathy. 

She has personal & professional experience with the low FODMAP diet, RPAH Elimination Diet / Failsafe Diet gluten-free eating. 

IRRITABLE BOWEL SYNDROME (IBS), functional gut disorders, bacterial overgrowth, & gastric motility issues are specialties. Louise is passionate about helping people who suffer from diarrhoea, constipation, abdominal pain, wind, bloating, reflux, nausea & fatigue, with many of her clients achieving life-changing results.  

There are plenty of nutritionists& dietitians who provide advice re IBS, however this is a specialised area, so if you want results it is important to see the right person. Louise is the only Monash University FODMAP-accredited dietary specialist between Newcastle & the QLD border, having completed extensive training through Monash University regarding the treatment & diagnosis of IBS as well as implementation of the low FODMAP diet.

She has attended numerous IBS seminars & courses to ensure that clients receive the most up-to-date information. Louise can also discuss other gastrointestinal conditions which sometimes mimic IBS & need to be ruled out. 

Louise has a special interest in anti-inflammatory nutrition, the gut microbiome & the link between dysbiosis & mood disorders (anxiety & depression), autoimmune disorders, arthritis, IBS, inflammatory bowel conditions, chronic fatigue, weight management, diabetes, heart disease, sporting performance etc. 

If you are interested in gut health, we can also refer you for microbiome testing. This provides details regarding the types of bacteria in your gut so that personalised dietary advice can be provided. Your microbiome report will also show whether you may benefit from a different probiotic supplement. 

Louise is a member of the Australasian Society of Lifestyle Medicine (ALMA) which supports GPs & health professionals in the management, treatment & prevention of lifestyle-related diseases.     

Louise has a strong interest in weight management & has motivated countless people to lose weight & keep it off. Her research into weight loss & fad diets was published in a scientific journal & received widespread media exposure. For the past 15 years Louise has also supported people who have undergone BARIATRIC SURGERY, to ensure that they achieve the best possible outcome from their surgery.

Louise is the only ACCREDITED SPORTS DIETITIAN on the Coffs Coast. She has also completed the Level 1 Triathlon Coaching Course as well as Level 2 Coaching Principles through the NSW Academy of Sport, in addition to her personal training qualifications. She has recently completed additional training through Monash University involving the treatment of exercise-induced gastrointestinal syndrome in athletes.  

She has had the privilege of providing nutrition advice (in person & via email & phone) to athletes from a variety of different sports. Prior to injuring her back Louise competed in triathlons, in events ranging from sprint (500m swim, 20k bike, 5k run) to Ironman (3.8k swim, 180k bike, 42.2k run). An in-depth knowledge of sports nutrition played a big part in her numerous wins & placings during her time in the sport.  

Louise enjoys the relaxed lifestyle that comes with living on the beautiful Coffs Coast, & although no longer able to compete in triathlons due to injury, she keeps fit by cross training with her husband Col, & more recently by running on Coffs Coast Nutrition's AlterG anti-gravity treadmill.

We are delighted to welcome Ali to our team. She has a strong interest in insulin resistance, diabetes, allergies, intolerances, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) & inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) & is also experienced in assisting people with fatty liver disease, high cholesterol, weight management (both overweight & underweight). 

Ali has worked as a sports dietitian, alongside many athletes (ranging from grass roots to Olympic level). She specialises in individual events & ultra-endurance sports & works with athletes to assist them to reach their body composition & performance goals. Ali has studied sports nutrition at the AIS. She has additional qualifications in anthropometry that are recognised internationally by ISAK, which allow her to measure a person's body composition (more accurate & detailed than body fat scales). Once body composition is known, a sports dietitian is able to tailor advice that is specific to each individual's goals, & assess the effectiveness of current / future training.  

Ali is available to deliver individualised sports nutrition advice as well as talks & group sessions. 

Body composition profiles involve:

  • measurement of skin-folds & girths
  • calculation of somatotype (body shape)
  • individualised body composition report
  • monitoring changes in body composition

When she is not at work Ali enjoys spending time with her family. She grew up in a sporting family & has a keen interest in soccer, touch football, surfing & hiking.

Col  Williams  (co-owner)

Col is a Personal Trainer & Gym Instructor with Cert 111 & 1V in Fitness. He has also completed the Level 1 Triathlon Coaching Course.

Col has completed The Biomechanics Method Corrective Exercise Trainer certification course which is regarded as the premier step-by-step corrective exercise education program for personal trainers. This course is designed to teach personal trainers how to effectively work with people who have musculoskeletal imbalances & associated muscle & joint pain. This revolutionary approach to musculoskeletal pain relief incorporates structural assessments, corrective exercise techniques & life coaching strategies into a system that makes improved function & pain-free living a reality for people plagued by poor musculoskeletal health. The course is recognised & accredited internationally by the world's largest & most respected fitness organisations. Col will also liaise with your current medical practitioner, physiotherapist &/or exercise physiologist to ensure that you achieve the best possible outcome.

Col has competed in triathlons for some years (distances ranging from sprint to Ironman). He has also participated in adventure racing, fun runs, marathons, mountain bike riding & rogaining. Col enjoys helping people of varying abilities & fitness levels.  He has a great way of enabling people to enjoy exercise without feeling intimidated or judged. Col can also tailor programs to help you train for a specific goal such as a fun run.   


Brooke  Henry

Brooke does a great job of keeping the office running smoothly. She will be the friendly voice at the other end of the line when you ring Coffs Coast Nutrition. 

Brooke enjoys an active lifestyle with her young family. She likes to keep fit & currently competes in athletics. She also has experience in facilitating a variety of fitness programs.  

If you have any questions or would like to organize an appointment to see one of our nutritionists or personal trainers, the best time to contact Brooke is usually:  

Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays:    9:00am-1:00pm & 2:00pm-2:30pm. 

She also works some Fridays.
